Meet the Maestros.
Professionally trained at the Academia de Estilos de Tango Argentino (ACETA), Neri Piliù and Yanina Quiñones have been dancing, teaching and performing as a couple since 2006. Winners of multiple international Tango competitions and regular performers in the most prestigious milongas and theatres of Buenos Aires, they spend their time travelling the world, running their own Tango company "Tango Rouge", and enjoying time with their son in their home in Italy.
What's included?
Intensive Tango training
You will receive daily group tuition by Neri Piliù and Yanina Quiñones in our on-site tango studio. Our small-group format means you will have ample time to ask questions, request topics and receive personalised feedback from the Maestros. We also invite experienced dancers to dance with you in the class so that you always have a dance partner to learn with.
Guided city tours
To dance Tango is to dance culture and experiences. We will take you round the most important landmarks of the city, and you will also receive a professional guided of some of the iconic areas for Tango. We will go for coffee in the traditional cafes where the most beautiful tango lyrics were born, and will visit the best places to buy shoes, clothes and tailored suits.
New Year's Party
Celebrate the New Year with the right people, in the right place. This year, Neri and Yanina are inviting you to an exclusive party in their own home. You will have the opportunity to meet our friends and colleagues, make connections and feel fully immersed in the tango lifestyle! Of course, this will be followed by a festive late night milonga.
High standard accommodation
People choose to travel with us for the sense of close-knit community we achieve through small groups and a shared private house. You will have your own comfortable private en-suite room, as well as free access to a fully equipped shared kitchen, dining room, living room, TV room, study and patio/garden area. Our team of organisers will be living with you during your stay. Breakfast is included.
Nightly Milongas
With over 30 milongas to choose from per night, the best way to explore the BA night life is to travel with experienced dancers. We will take you to the very best places in town including the hidden "gems" of the city, while accommodating your own choices and preferences. Our team of dancers will accompany us so that you will never be short of great tandas!
Support and advice
Our team of organisers is here for you. From assistance booking your flights and planning your stay, to practical day-to-day guidance and advice, our job is to ensure you feel safe and fully equipped to navigate the bustle of the city. Do not hesitate to get in touch at any point if you have questions, concerns or simply want a chat.
Eat, sleep, live tango.
The tour lasts 11 nights (12 days). Every day will start with a 1.5h group class with Yanina and Neri. There will be activities in the afternoons (optional) such as shopping tours, visits to important landmarks, markets, cafes and museums. Some afternoons are left free for you to explore by yourselves, or wind down!
In the evenings, we will take you to one, two, or three milongas in a row (depending on how the night goes... of course, this is all optional!). As our group is small, we will reserve the best tables in milongas so you will get plenty of cabaceos! We will join occasional pre-milonga group classes.
We also organise optional evening trips to the theatre depending on what is showing at the time.
Accommodation
You will stay in a private ensuite room on a quiet street in the very heart of Buenos Aires. Located within walking distance of the most famous cafes, landmarks, tango shops and milongas, you really couldn't find a better place to stay.
Accommodation comes with breakfast included, an outdoor patio area, and kitchen where you can cook your own meals. There are also plenty of affordable restaurants nearby for you to choose from.
